SAPA was created in 2024 as a non-profit membership association offering pickleball enthusiasts of all backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to improve their skills, compete, socialize and have fun. Our association is very fortunate to have willing volunteers who guide activities that help our membership enjoy this great sport. We are a group of players in the greater Sparta area and Monroe County.

 

With the growth of pickleball in our area, we have a leadership board to help guide the development and promotion of pickleball. We do ask for dues for the pickleball needs in our area such as medical supplies for the courts, funding for resurfacing, benches, lights, and balls provided for leagues and events. So far our group as raised money for the concrete pads, 1 bench, entrance mats, balls for events, this website and a banner. We have received two donations From Mayo Clinic Health System and Gundersen Health System for an AED Box and AED unit. In the future we are looking to put in lights, a little free paddle/ball library for borrowing use and crushed asphalt for the parking area. We have an official bank account for donations to be held and from which items are paid for.
